Author Guidelines

Welcome to The Field & Formula.
We are an English-language agricultural magazine dedicated to bridging the gap between scientific research and practical farm management. We invite researchers, academicians, progressive farmers, and students to submit high-quality popular articles that make agricultural science accessible and actionable.

Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your manuscript to ensure a smooth review and publication process.

1. Aims & Scope

We accept popular articles, success stories, and practical insights across the following disciplines:

Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Horticulture, Forestry, Genetics and Plant Breeding, Extension and Communication, Economics, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Meteorology.

Articles should avoid heavy jargon and complex statistical data. The goal is to translate the "Formula" (the science) into the "Field" (practical application).

2. Manuscript Formatting

Language: English only. Ensure clear, grammatically correct writing.

Word Count: Articles should ideally be between 1,000 and 1,500 words.

Document Type: Submit your manuscript as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx).

Font & Spacing: Times New Roman, 12-point font, with 1.5 line spacing.

Title: Keep it catchy, concise, and relevant to the content (maximum 15 words).

3. Authorship & Affiliations

• Include the full names of all authors.

• List the current designation, department, and institution/university for each author.

• Clearly indicate the Corresponding Author with an active email address.

• Limit the number of authors to a maximum of 4 to 5 per article.

4. Article Structure

Since these are popular articles (not academic research papers), please structure your manuscript as follows:

• Introduction: Hook the reader. Explain the background of the topic and why it is important to the farming community today.

Main Body: Use short, clear paragraphs and informative subheadings to break up the text.

Practical Application: Clearly explain how this information can be used by farmers or agricultural professionals in the field.

Conclusion/Summary: A brief wrap-up of the main takeaways.

References: Keep citations to a minimum. List only 3 to 5 key references for further reading.

5. Tables, Figures & Photographs

As a magazine, visual appeal is highly important.

• Include 2 to 4 high-quality, relevant photographs (e.g., crop diseases, field setups, equipment).

• Submit images as separate high-resolution JPEG or PNG files, or embed them clearly within the Word document.

• Provide a short, descriptive caption for every image or table.

• Ensure you have the right to use the images provided (original photos are preferred).

6. Originality & Plagiarism

• The Field & Formula strictly publishes original content.

• Articles must not have been published elsewhere or currently be under consideration by another magazine or journal.

• Plagiarized content or articles entirely generated by AI will be rejected.
